Icicle Toss is a basic projectile arcade with heavy monetisation pressure. Throw icicles at targets. The format is the carnival shooting gallery with frost theming, and the monetisation undermines it.
What works is the projectile physics. Icicles arc with appropriate gravity. Hit detection is reliable. The mechanical foundation works.
What does not work is the depth. Every level is the same throw-at-targets mechanic. No special icicles, no power-ups, no combination targets. After ten minutes the format reveals it has no more to offer.
Tested over one Copenhagen Metro ride before stopping. Touch is the natural input. Mouse-drag also works.
Where the game tries hardest is the cosmetic-icicle shop. Twenty different icicle visual themes through grindable currency. None affect gameplay.
Where I would push back is the monetisation pressure. Ads after every round. Paid skip option. The basic format does not justify this load.
Two-and-a-half stars. Functional basic projectile arcade ruined by monetisation. Skip and find any other arcade on this catalogue.
