Editor review

Azure Orbit is an orbital-mechanic arcade where you launch satellites into stable orbits while avoiding debris fields. Forty-eight missions across four orbital regimes. The format respects real orbital mechanics enough to be educational without being academic.

What works is the trajectory preview. Before each launch, a thin line shows the predicted orbit shape. Skilled players read the preview and adjust launch parameters; unskilled players launch blindly and learn from failures.

Forty-eight missions split into low earth orbit, geostationary, lunar transfer, and deep space. Each regime has different physics consequences (atmospheric drag in LEO, multi-body gravity beyond geosynchronous). The variety stays interesting.

Tested across Copenhagen Metro M3 commutes plus weekend Royal Library sessions. Touch with drag-to-launch is the natural input. Mouse-drag also works.

Where the design earns its rating is the realism balance. The physics are real enough to teach intuition; simplified enough to be playable. Players come away with rough understanding of orbital mechanics, which is rare for an arcade game.

Where I would push back is the absence of a sandbox mode. Players who want to experiment with orbital configurations beyond the missions have no option. A free-launch sandbox would have added replay value.

Four stars. Strong orbital-mechanic arcade with educational physics and disciplined mission design. Recommended.
